Epsidode 50—Techno Granny and Chat Friends from Pittsburgh and Australia on Open Source Technology and Free Software

Once again my chat room saved me when a guest did not show up. Guest was to be Joe Polk of Pennsylvania Technology Assistance Program. Penn Tap. I am sure there was some technological difficulty that prevented him from joining me but chat listeners once again saved Techno Granny from a talkcaster’s worst fate—dead air time.

My Knights in shining armor: Travis Knight, from Pittsburgh, (no really his last name is Knight, I think, internet anonymity, you know.)
Ben Wilson, Teen Talkcaster from Sydney Australia and his publicist Rodger, also from Sydney Australia.

Below I have included the chat and also a link and list of Open Source Technology that you can use.

Episode 45—Podcasting—Do I need a reel? Patti Serrano of Entrepreneur’s Club

If you are even a tiny bit inquisitive about podcasting or if you think you can’t teach and old dog new tricks, then you need to listen to a couple of old “puppies” who are dominating in a young puppy’s field. I met Patti Serrano a year ago when I first started podcasting or talkcasting as I prefer to call it. Just jumped in to her show for a minute to find out what it was all about and became an instant fan of Patti’s ebullient style and endless joie de vivre.

Here are the notes from the show, but you must simply listen in to the archived version to really get the true impact of what an infopreneur this La Gringa really is.

BIO: Patti Serrano, Founder of the Entrepreneur Club and author of Ten Simple Lessons to Market your Business. She currently is a Business Trainer in Sales and Marketing with an emphasis on New Media and Social Networking.

TALKING POINTS: How did she get started in podcasting?
How does a 62 year old grandma feel about doing what most younger people are doing today?
How does someone get started?
Of your seven shows, which do you enjoy the best?
How did you get started in video? Maybe another show??

Techno Granny Interviewed on Australian Teen's Show

Many of you hear me speak about the international phenomenon teenager, the Techno Teen. His name is Ben Wilson from Sydney Australia and he is just 14 years old. He has developed into quite an interviewer with a unique youthful brand of questions.
You can read more about him at: www.technogrannyshow.blogspot.com

Saturday. March 1, 2008 I was his first guest on a new show, simply called The Guest Show. You may want to listen in, it’s kind of fun.

Techno Granny Guests, Episode 1

Also if you are looking for comic relief, he and his father have a talk cast called, Two Guys and a Computer, very funny show about father-son interaction.
